On July 27, Shontez Brazzile, 20, of Cleveland, and Keith entered the  convenience store at closing time, showed their handguns and demanded money from the 38-year-old man who was working as a clerk that evening, prosecutors said.

The victim was shot in the head during the robbery.

The suspects stole cash and cell phones, and then they fled from the store. The police were contacted and the victim was taken to a nearby hospital where he was treated for his injuries.

Shortly after the robbery, an anonymous tip came in as to the whereabouts of the two suspects.

Cleveland Police followed the tip to a residence on Barber Avenue in Cleveland and saw Fanshon Trammell, 25, of Cleveland, sitting on the porch.

Police asked Trammell who was inside the home, but she refused to cooperate and was placed under arrest.

Brazzile and Keith later came out of the house and were arrested.

On January 11, Trammell pleaded guilty to one count of obstructing justice and was sentenced to time served.

On that same day, Brazzile pleaded guilty to one count each of kidnapping and aggravated robbery with firearm and forfeiture specifications.

Brazzile also had his sentencing hearing Wednesday. Gall sentenced him to seven years in prison.
