What are the ages of the "double-dipper" candidates? If I recall the last Public Meeting…Read More on the Issue of "Reemployment" (would an English teacher approve of that word if used by a student?), the retire/rehire age was 50 years old. That is a blatant abuse of the State Teachers Retirement System (STRS), which has $46.8 BILLION in unfunded liabilities (http://watchdog.org/75490/while-losing-billions-strs-pays-millions-in-bonuses/). Teaching is a desk job and does not involve heavy physical labor like police and fire jobs. If teachers retired like most other white collar workers at the age of 65, then perhaps the STRS would not be on the path to insolvency, putting Ohio taxpayers at the risk of a huge bailout.
