Shaker Heights Electricity Service Expected to Resume Monday Night

First Energy said today that the city's outages are expected to be cleared up by Monday night.

The City of Shaker Heights sent this email to residents Thursday afternoon about the progress of power restoration in the city:

Mayor Leiken has just spoken again with John Skory, President of CEI. Crews are in the area where residents are still without power and are working to correct the outages. Please call the Mayor's office at 491-1410 if your power has not been restored by this evening and we will follow up. Read the full update at shakeronline.com.

Shaker Heights residents should see their lights turn back on by Monday night, First Energy reported today. 

The website posted a list of estimated repair times for its customers after Hurricane Sandy's high winds and rain knocked out hundreds of thousands of customers across Ohio.

In Shaker Heights, 574 customers were without power as of 4 p.m. Thursday. Some customers have been without power since Monday.
