Robbers Captured in Foot Chase

Shaker Heights Police arrested two after witnesses said they robbed and beat a Shaker Heights teen.

The Shaker Heights Police Department supplied the following information. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Witnesses helped capture two robbery suspects who police say beat up and robbed a 15-year-old boy in Shaker Heights last week.

The teen was walking near Lee Road and Aldersyde Drive when he was approached by two males just before 3 p.m. Nov. 21, according to police.

The two took the teen’s cell phone and then started hitting him, police report. Witnesses nearby called police, who chased down the two suspects in a backyard on Stockholm Road.

They arrested a 20-year-old man and a 15-year-old male, both from Cleveland, and charged them with robbery.

The teen was taken to the hospital with a broken nose.
