Missing Games, Bikes: Shaker Heights Police Blotter

Missing bike — A Lindholm Road resident called Shaker Heights Police on July 1 to report that two BMX bikes had been stolen from a garage.

The caller believed the theft occurred between 7 p.m. June 30 and 12:30 a.m. on July 1. The unknown person likely entered through an unsecured garage door. Police were unable to locate a suspect.

Wii, games stolen from home — A Westbury Road resident told police July 1 that a person entered their home and stole about $300 worth of Nintendo merchandise.

The resident reported a missing Wii system and 16 games. The caller told police it could have happened between 5 p.m. on June 30 and 3 p.m. the following day. A rear security door was forced open in the theft. Police have no suspects.

Suspicious activity on Van Aken — Three callers reported suspicious activity between 6:30 and 8:45 p.m. June 30 on Van Aken Boulevard. Shaker Heights Police Lt. Jeff DeMuth said there are no suspects in any of the incidents.

First, a woman reported that someone threw two flower pots at her vehicle around 6:30 p.m. The force caused several damages to the car while it was parked in front of her apartment. Shortly after that call, another resident reported a broken lampshade in the apartment lobby.

Another woman then called police to report two males following her as she walked home from her RTA rapid stop. The woman went into the JoS. A. Bank men's clothing store out of fear. The men were gone by the time she left the store. DeMuth said police have not made a connection between the three incidents.
