Burglar Surprised by Resident

A woman came home to find a burglar in her Shaker Heights home last week.

The resident of the 22900 block of Shelbourne Road arrived home at around 10:20 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 29. When she entered her home, she saw a man coming down her stairs.

He ran out of the house, but police say they chased him down and arrested him in the neighborhood.

The 42-year-old Cleveland man was charged with burglary. Police say he had stolen a Swiss watch, foreign currency, gift cards and a coin purse.
