Pieter Johann von Herrmann, 85, of Shaker Heights, a General Electric nuclear physicist and engineer, died July 1, The Plain Dealer reports.
Herrmann was born in Amsterdam, Netherlands and grew up in Germany. He emigrated to the U.S. with his family in 1948.
Memorial services will be held later, the newspaper adds.
