100 Years in 100 Days: Shaker Towers

100 photographs that define Shaker Heights

Shaker Heights Patch is celebrating the 100 years of Shaker Heights history by creating an online scrapbook. Each day for 100 days, we'll feature a photograph that helps tell the story of Shaker Heights.

Today's photo is Shaker Towers, a 12-story building designed by noted Cleveland architect Joseph Ceruti in 1951. He taught architecture at several institutions, including the Cleveland Institute of Art.

He was a founder of the Cleveland Fine Arts Advisory Committee, now known as the Cleveland Design Review Committee. The committee critiques the design of major downtown projects.
