Man Follows Suspicious People, Gets Punched In Face

A man and his father tried to take the law into their own hands when they saw suspicious people outside their Shaker Heights home.

A 21-year-old Shaker Heights man did not like a group of young men hanging around near his girlfriend's car, so he decided to take matters into his own hands.

That did not end well for him.

According to a Shaker Heights Police report, the Shelborne Road resident saw three men gathered around his girlfriend's car at about 2:29 a.m. on July 28.

The resident and his father both went outside looking for the suspicious men, and searched through the neighborhood for them after they ran off.

The resident ran into them farther down on Shelborne. A confrontation ensued, and the man was punched in the face. The men fled.
