Lake Catholic High School began in 1970 as 221 freshmen using temporary quarters at Mentor Shore Junior High School. Now, more than 800 students attend the school at the intersection of Bellflower and Reynolds roads. Lake Catholic had a 100-percent graduation and college acceptance rate in 2010. The school incorporates technology in its learning. Most of the classes have Smartboards and the building is outfitted with a video conference room. The school offers a wide range of extracurriculars, including several athletic teams, academic challenge, clubs for art, books, skiing, several foreign languages and culinary interests, theater, band and a school newspaper, the Lakeline. Lake Catholic's president is Sal Miroglotta; its principal, Rick Koenig.
