Shaker Heights coasted to its sixth straight victory Saturday, beating lowly Valley Forge 55-0.
Senior quarterback Jimmie Pope kept up his proficient passing with 234 yards, four touchdowns and zero interceptions. Pope hit four different receivers for his touchdowns.
Ramses Owens, Greg Claytor and Brian Jones also chipped in rushing touchdowns. In all, the Red Raiders posted 482 yards of offense, compared to just 60 for Valley Forge.
Shaker is now 6-1 and fighting for a playoff spot in Division 1, Region 1. The team entered the week ranked 10th. The top eight teams in each region will qualify for the playoffs.
