Six Shaker Heights Runners Report They Are OK on Facebook After Boston Marathon

One runner said, "Luckily we weren't at the finish when the explosions happened."

Runners Luke Baum, Jennifer Kuhel, Emily Thomarios, Maureen Glasper, Heather Weingart and Susan Luria of Shaker Heights told their Facebook friends that they are OK after the Boston Marathon Monday. 

Two bomb blasts that killed three and injured more than 100 people at the finish line of the Boston Marathon have many wondering about their loved ones participating in the race. Patch continues to follow the story. 

Luke Baum wrote on Shaker Heights Patch's Facebook post about the bombing:

Thanks for concern. I'm one resident that is ok

Jennifer Kuhel finished the race at 2:06 p.m., according to the Boston Marathon results web page.

She said on Facebook just before 8 p.m. Monday that she was OK. 

Emily Thomarios finished the race at 1:39 p.m. according to the marathon's results page.

She said on Facebook at about 6:35 p.m.: 

Adam and i are safe! Luckily we weren't at the finish when the explosions happened. Thank u all for ur texts and calls. I Feel so bad for all those ppl.

Heather Weingart finished at 2:06 p.m. and said on Facebook at about 6:30 p.m.: 

Maureen Merriman Glasper, Jennifer Scarborough Kuhel & I have all finished and are safe at the hotel. We are trying to get more info. On the situation- very sad.

Maureen Glasper finished the race at 2:08 p.m. 

Another Shaker Heights native, Susan Luria, was registered to race, but decided not to participate, according to her Facebook page.
