VIEW: Shaker Heights School District's Financial Report

The district has a cash balance of $23.51 million

Shaker Heights School District Treasurer Bryan Christman issued the school system's year-end financial report at the Board of Education's most recent work session.

The district's total general fund revenue finished at $88.68 million. That figure is about $580,000 less than budgeted and $510,000 more than last year.

The report shows that has a cash balance of $23.51 million. The district said $3.2 million, or 5.2 percent, more in real estate tax collections helped offset lower state aid.

Shaker Schools spent $86.98 million during the fiscal year that ended on June 30. That's $4.42 million less than the district budgeted and $1.79 million less than 2011.
