One student received a silver medal from the national Scholastic Art & Writing Awards; another earned a placement in the 2013 Ohio Governor's Youth Art Exhibit

Two Shaker Heights High School students were recognized by state and national organizations, respectively, for their artwork.

Junior Josh Jacobs received a silver medal from the 2012-13 national Scholastic Art & Writing Awards for his digital self-portrait, “Facial Typography.”
