Shaker Schools to Host Public Input Meeting on Superintendent Search Tonight

The district is looking for input on the characteristics and skills the community is looking for in a new superintendent.

The Shaker Heights Board of Education is looking for the community's input on the ongoing search for a new superintendent.

The board invites residents, staff members and students to the high school's upper cafeteria tonight for a meeting scheduled to last from 7 to 8 p.m. Board members hope to hear about the characteristics, skills and background the community is looking for in a replacement for Dr. Mark Freeman.

Freeman announced in September that this school year would be his last after leading the district for a quarter of a century. The district has enlisted Hazard, Young, Attea and Associates to help with the nationwide search for a new superintendent.
