Shaker Heights High Students to Perform 'As You Like It'

The school will pay homage to Shakespeare and to the city's centennial celebration.

Shaker Heights High School students will perform Shakespeare's famous and classic comedy, As You Like It, Dec. 5 through Dec. 7 at 7 p.m. in the large auditorium.

And though the play was written long before the 1900s, the costumes will pay homage to the city's centennial celebration — actors will don Edwardian period costumes circa 1912.

“This will be a unique way for the community to visualize what we looked like 100 years ago,” said Christine McBurney, director and theatre arts department chair, in an article on the school's website.
