Local founder of Weatherhead 100 Tres Roeder announced a bid for the Shaker Heights City Council last week.

Roeder nabbed endorsements from Shaker Heights Council Member James Brady and Board of Education Member Amy Fulford, a press release from his campaign notes.

Roeder is a project manager who is active on the Mayor's Economic Development Task Force and has worked with the schools to conduct studies on the achievement gap in the district, according to the release.

"As a member of Shaker Heights City Council, Tres Roeder would facilitate creative solutions for economic development, eliminate inefficiencies and modernize operations, launch quarterly town hall meetings for more open dialogue among community, and support a new youth center that will improve academic performance, create community, and reduce crime," the release states.
