Stolen Bicycle Leads To Missing Teen
The theft of a Shaker Heights boy's bicycle led police to find a missing Cleveland teen.
A Shaker Heights boy had his bicycle stolen from Thornton Park, but that theft led police to a missing Cleveland teen, according to Shaker Heights Police.
The boy reported his bicycle stolen on July 18. The bike was later found in the possession of a 20-year-old man, who also had a 17-year-old Cleveland teen with him, according to the police report.
It turns out that teen had been reported missing by his family in Cleveland.
The missing teen was returned to his family. No one was arrested in the bike theft because the boy's family refused to press charges.
