Sharon Anderson-Norfus Killer William Hammons Sentenced To Life Without Parole

William Hammons, 21, of Maple Heights, killed Shaker Heights woman Sharon Anderson-Norfus in 2012.

The man who pleaded guilty to strangling Shaker Heights woman Sharon Anderson-Norfus last year will spend the rest of his life in prison.

William Hammons, 22, of Maple Heights, broke into Anderson-Norfus' Warrensville-Center Road apartment May 4, 2012 and sexually assaulted her and strangled her to death. 

On Monday, Hammons was sentenced to life in prison without parole and 100 years to life for various charges, according to the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's office. 

He pleaded guilty last month to aggravated murder, aggravated burglary, two counts of kidnapping, rape, aggravated robbery, petty theft, misuse of a credit card, tampering with evidence and having weapons while under disability.
