Shaker Home Fraudulently Listed For Rent On Craigslist

The information in this report is from the Shaker Heights Police Department.

A Shaker Heights homeowner called the police on June 4 to report that his home had been fraudulently listed as for rent on Craigslist, according to the Shaker Heights Police.

The man told police that his realtor found the listing on Craigslist for his home near the 24000 block of Shaker Boulevard.

According to Shaker Heights Police, its common for scammers to find homes that are listed for sale on legitimate real estate sites and then offer them up for rent on a site like Craigslist in order to scam prospective renters out of money.
