Fight Sends Teen to Hospital for Stitches

March 20, 3:38 p.m. — Police arrested four teens after they responded to a report of a fight behind 3635 Lee Road. One of the teens, a 14-year-old boy from Cleveland, had marijuana on him and was charged for that. All four — which also included two more 14-year-old males and one 15-year-old male — were cited for disorderly conduct. One teen was transported to the hospital for stitches on his lip.

Officer Smells Marijuana in High School Hallway

March 21, 2:32 p.m. — An officer walking down the hall at Shaker Heights High School smelled marijuana coming from a locker. He and school officials found a burnt joint about an inch and a half long in a coat pocket inside the locker. The student was not criminally charged, as the school opted to handle it internally.

Drunken Man Arrested After Lack of Coat Tips Off Resident

March 24, 12:03 a.m. — A resident called police after they spotted a man standing in the middle of Duffield Road with no coat on. Police spoke to the man, who admitted he had been smoking marijuana and drinking alcohol, and determined that he was too drunk to care for himself. He was arrested.
