Shaker Heights Man Died of Heart Attack in Bedford Jail

Omar Arrington-Bey died of heart attack after altercation with officers

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner has released the cause of death of a Shaker Heights man who died in Bedford Jail last month, The Plain Dealer reports.

Omar Arrington-Bey, 38, was arrested June 21 and had an altercation with jail officers during his stay. Police said he died shortly after the altercation.

The medical examiner reports that Arrington-Bey died of a heart attack due to the physical altercation and bipolar disease, The Plain Dealer reports.

Arrington-Bey had stopped taking psychiatric medication at the time of his arrest.
