Man Bitten in Child Custody Exchange

The Shaker Heights Police Department supplied the following information. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Car stolen

Dec. 20, 11:45 p.m. — Someone reported their car stolen from the intersection of Van Aken Boulevard and Ashby Road.

Burlgary reported

Dec. 22, 6:14 p.m. — A burglary was reported at the 18700 block of Winslow Road.

Father assaulted by children’s mother’s boyfriend

Dec. 24, 7:27 p.m. — A man reported that he was assaulted in the parking lot of Heinen’s at 16611 Chagrin Blvd. He has arranged with the mother of his children to meet there to pick up his kids, and she brought her boyfriend, police said. A fight ensued and he was hit in the face and bitten by the boyfriend. The mother and her boyfriend fled the scene before police arrived.
