Man robbed outside library: Two men stole costly electronic devices from another as he sat near the 's playground at 8:50 p.m. on Aug. 8.

One of the unknown men asked the victim to use his cell phone. He obliged, only to have the suspect run off with the phone.

The victim had been sitting on a bench using a laptop. He left it behind to chase after the man who took the phone. The other man then took the laptop. Police have not found the culprits.

Craigslist gone wrong: A Shaker Heights resident met a man he didn't know on Aug. 8 afternoon on Normandy Road to sell the Playstaion video game system he had previously posted an advertisement for on Craigslist.com.

While discussing the transaction, the potential buyer fled on foot with the system.

Possession at Gridley Park: Police arrested a 17-year-old Shaker Heights male and an 18-year-old man from the city on Aug. 10 for possession of drugs.

They were with two other juveniles at Gridley Park well after dusk when police approached the group. The arrested males were both carrying marijuana.
