BREAKING: Woman Arrested in Fatal Shaker Heights Car Crash
Amanda Buxton, 22, of South Euclid, has been charged with aggravated vehicular homicide in connection with a November 2012 car crash that left one dead.
A South Euclid woman faces aggravated vehicular homicide charge after police say she drove drunk in a crash that killed Shaker Heights resident Brian Horvich.
Amanda Buxton, 22, was charged with the third-degree felony, as well as misdemeanor drug abuse/possession, this week in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court.

Police would not say what type of drug Buxton is accused of having at the time of the crash.
She was arrested Wednesday and posted a $5,000 bond Thursday, according to court documents.

She is expected to appear in court again Jan. 28.
If convicted, Buxton faces up to five years in prison.

The crash happened just before 2 a.m. Nov. 15 at the intersection of Warrensville Center Road and Fairmount Boulevard in Shaker Heights.
Police said that Horwich, who was 25, was in the back seat of the car. Buxton, who was driving, and a front-seat passenger survived.
Horwich graduated from Shaker Heights High School in 2005.
