$6,500 in Belongings Stolen from Estate

Items stolen from estate

Jan. 13, 11:23 p.m. — A man whose mother died reported that a mink coat, a bronze statue and a clay pot, all valued at $6,500, were stolen from her S. Woodland Road home during the past two months.

Copper piping stolen from vacant home

Jan. 13, 12:43 p.m. — $2,000 of copper piping was reported stolen from a vacant home on the 3200 block of Chadbourne Road.

One detained after attempted car break-in

Jan. 16, 2:49 a.m. — Police responded to the 3100 block of Huntington Road after a report of a car alarm. They found the car with the door ajar and as they searched the area, detained and questioned a person of interest in the crime. That person has not been charged.
