What needs to happen is individuals suspected of having unregistered firearms in their possession need to be arrested, prosecuted to the fullest extent of local and federal laws, convicted and required to wear monitoring devices. If they are found leaving their homes, they need to jailed. If these people can not roam the street, they can not cause problems. I could see going much further with this. The solution needs to be preventative.
