Wellness is a word; Living is a verb!

WoW! There is a big difference between knowing what we have been told about wellness and actually living well. Living well is really important!

What is the difference between knowing wellness and living well? Who is the smartest; the person who knows something about wellness, but does not do it or the person who is living what they know? We have been taught that the person who knows what to do but does not do it; it is sin to that person. (James 4:17)

Many of us know we should treat people the way we want to be treated.        Many of us know we should eat more fruits and vegetable and drink more water. Many of us know we should take the brisk walk to feel better.                       What we do is far more important that what we know!

The difference between knowing wellness and living well is what we choose to do. Here are five great “action” tips on things we know and should do.

  1. Express thankfulness every day
  2. Drink half your body weight in ounces of water (150 lbs. is 75 oz.)
  3. Get some exercise (move your body vigorously)  everyday
  4. Eat fruits, vegetables, beans, nuts and seeds (naturally healthy foods)
  5. Pray and read spiritual material (Quiet time, Bible time, Daily Word)

 

When we are doing what we know, we will enjoy the benefits of living in health and happiness. Take action today to do what you know.
