Carousel Says FUN in any language!

The Cleveland Carousel Society and Euclid Beach Park Now will be hosting a tent in Circle Village as part of the Cleveland Museum of Art’s Parade the Circle event on Saturday, June 8, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Parade, themed “Sol de Luna Nueva (Sunshine of the New Moon),” steps off rain or shine at noon in Wade Oval. The Carousel Society tent theme is “Carousel Says FUN in Any Language,” and will feature activities for young and old alike. The Glass Carousel Pavilion at the Western Reserve Historical Society will be open during the Parade events and the horse will be on display. Additionally, visitors can hear authentic carousel music produced by hand cranked band organs and learn how band organs work. “Our Parade the Circle activities will feature Carousel sights and sounds,” said John Frato, Secretary of the Carousel Society. “In the tent and in the Pavilion, you’ll be able to decorate a carousel-themed take-home souvenir, view the carousel horses and hear authentic carousel music.” Parade the Circle is an annual attraction that draws tens of thousands of people to the University Circle area for a festival of color, music and art for all ages. According the Art Museum “international and national guest artists join Greater Cleveland artists, families, schools, and community groups in a spectacular display of bright costumes, giant puppets, stilt dancers, handmade masks and colorful floats. Circle Village, which includes activities, entertainment, and food, is presented by University Circle, Inc.
