100 Years in 100 Days: Shaker Heights High School Building

100 photos that define Shaker Heights.

Shaker Heights Patch is celebrating the 100 years of Shaker Heights history by creating an online scrapbook. Each day for 100 days, we'll feature a photograph that helps tell the story of Shaker Heights.

This photo from the mid-1900s shows Woodbury School. Back then, Woodbury housed the village high school. Now, it's an elementary school.

The first school opened in 1912 at the Van Sweringen real estate office, 2889 Lee Road. There were four teachers and 26 students.
