The Greater Cleveland Urban Film Festival -- which returns for its second iteration this weekend -- isn't just for cinephiles.

The festival is designed to expose, educate and entertain all people through innovative and groundbreaking films that depict the African-American experience.

So film lovers and the simply curious alike can catch a panoply of feature and short films this weekend at Shaker Square Cinema.

Donna Dabbs, the festival's executive director, told our partners at WEWS Channel 5, said the festival drew 800 people to Shaker Heights last year and, this year, they're hoping to draw more than 1,200.

Tickets for individual films cost $10, excluding the closing night screening which is $25. However, the festival offers free screenings to children and high school students.
