Hathaway Brown Student Wins BBB Students of Integrity Scholarship Competition
Nicole Chesnokov, a Hathaway Brown School senior, was awarded a $1000 scholarship. Nicole’s essay centered on integrity and the importance of doing the right thing despite how difficult it may be. Nicole’s accomplishments are numerous. She was a Science Research and Engineering Fellow at Case Western’s Center for Proteomics and Bioinformatics and her study on “Dose Response of DEPC Labeling of Angiotensin I”, was published. Teachers described her as “…functioning at the genius level”, “…highly sophisticated thinker…”, “…intellectually stellar” with “…a great sense of humor,” and “genuineness.”
A total of 44 public and private high schools within the BBB’s five county service area participated by selecting their own Student of Integrity who in turn submitted an essay to the BBB.

“The Students of Integrity Awards program is one of several BBB initiatives that emphasize the importance of continually enhancing and emphasizing character-building in all aspects of one’s life…whether you are a high school student or a business leader,” said David Weiss, president of the BBB.

The BBB also honored 10 area students with Honorable Mention:
