Volunteers at the Nature Center on Stewardship Saturdays will be involved in invasive plant removal and native planting in the marsh and other habitats. Late summer and fall activities may include seed collection as well as invasive plant removal.
Dress for the weather. Wear waterproof boots if you have them. If not, we can provide some. Tools, snacks and coffee are provided. Bring a water bottle.

The Nature Center at Shaker Lakes has been around since 1966. It was founded by the community to preserve the Shaker Parklands. This natural green space educates through innovative programs and community involvement. It offers camps, classes and tours, and has room rentals for birthday parties and other occasions. The Nature Center is open to the public year-round.
