The Shaker Heights Police Department supplied the following information. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
Teens trespass: Shaker Heights Police arrested three teens on Aug. 18 for criminal trespassing on a property on Chelton Road.
The reporting resident said the kids — two 14-year-olds from Shaker and a 16-year-old Cleveland resident — were in the backyard around 10:47 p.m. without permission. Following arrest, the teenagers were turned over back to their parents.
Theft during moving sale: Cash and an expensive possession were stolen from a Shaker Boulevard home on Aug. 20 during a moving sale.
The victim told police that $1,700 and an iPhone was taken from the residence between 3 and 6 p.m.
Burglary on Inglside: Unknown suspects entered through a window of an Ingleside Road home and stole a video game system the night of Aug. 20.
The burglary occurred around 5 p.m., resulting in the loss of a Nintendo Wii.
Dogs removed: After a few reports of loud dogs and no contact with a homeowner, police asked the city's animal warden to remove them from Chelton Road.
A neighbor called police after midnight on Aug. 20 to complain about two barking dogs. Officers reported being able to hear the canines from several houses away before arrival. It was the third complaint regarding the dogs, and police were never able to get in touch with a resident.
