Teen tackles would-be robber

Wednesday, Nov. 28, 3:15 p.m. — Police say a robbery victim took matters into his own hands at Shaker Heights High School last week.

A student reported that he was holding his iPod when another student ran by and grabbed it. The student ran after the teen he said robbed him and tackled him in the hallway. The second teen was charged with robbery.

Video game stolen from Pizza Hut

Wednesday, Nov. 28, 6:48 p.m. — An employee at Pizza Hut on Chagrin Boulevard reported that someone stole a video game he had left in the kitchen of the restaurant.

Short pursuit follows license plate check

Saturday, Dec. 1, 8:26 a.m. — A police officer initiated a traffic stop near Coventry Road and S. Park after he checked the car’s license plates and they did not belong on the vehicle they were on. The car fled, sparking a short pursuit that police ended near 124th Street and Britton Drive, allowing the suspect to flee.
