Reminder: 2013 Dog Licenses On Sale Now

Apply online, by mail or in person to get your dog licensed now.

 

Cuyahoga County dog licenses are on sale now.

Beginning Dec. 1, dog owners can access applications online or in person for their 2013 dog licenses. Dogs must be licensed annually by Jan. 31.

Licenses are $20 each, and beginning Jan. 31, late fees are $20 per Ohio law.

To buy yours online, click here. There are also more than 25 locations, including Discount Drug Mart in Highland Heights, where you can purchase it in person for a 75-cent surcharge.

This is just another revenue grab. A dog license is not going to save your dog if he is lost. Most dogs have microchips now which provide the owner's contact information no matter where they are found, not just in their hometown. Much more efficient and much more 21st century. Dog license- how antiquated!
