A weekend festival on Shaker Square was all about the bulb.
About 50 vendors took part in the 2012 Cleveland Garlic Festival, bringing a variety of foods inspired by pungent cloves. Aside from inordinate treats like garlic donuts and ice cream from Mitchell's, visitors enjoyed wine and beer tastings, music and face painting for kids.
Proceeds supported the North Union Farmers Market's charitable efforts.
