Centennial Art Installation Completed

Art installation lights up trees near Horseshoe Lake.

Artist Barry Underwood has created an ethereal light installation in Horseshoe Lake Park among the trees along South Park between Park Drive and Attleboro.

The privately funded public art installation, part of Shaker's centennial celebration, will continue for two weeks, a media release from the city said.

Barry Underwood is a Cleveland Institute of Art faculty member and is working on projects for the new Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland and Cleveland Clinic.

His Shaker centennial project was done as part of a partnership with LAND studio.

The light installation could make for some beautiful photos. Share them with us on Shaker Patch and we'll feature them on our home page or Facebook page!

This exhibit is a good example of how private sector funding and investment can enrich the Shaker Heights community.
